CJ’s birthday present was a trip to Legoland Windsor. We stayed at the Legoland hotel and could walk into the park from our hotel which was super convenient. We were going to squeeze this into the couple of days before we went to London but are happy we decided to wait until after the UK schools started back up. The downside was that the park was closed on our second day (Wednesday), but we did the whole thing on Tuesday so didn’t miss out on much. The longest wait we had for a ride was 5 minutes and we walked straight onto just about everything. We had a full day – 9:45 to 5:15 – and the kids were knackered at the end of the day. Resort food…maybe the less said the better on that? After a 6 hour drive on Monday from Newcastle we didn’t feel like driving anywhere so did the buffet for dinner, which was a mistake. Lesson learned and on night two we went into Windsor and after a wander went to K Kitchen, a Korean place which was delicious.
Overall, with CJ smiling just about the whole day at the park, this was a worthwhile stop and it was great to see how excited the kids were with the rides and play areas. CJ has requested to come back next year for his birthday! Now, if mummy and daddy sign up for GNR 2020 then maybe…
knackered?
Hee hee. Another word for tired! You can tell which posts Chris has written. 😛
