November 25 – 30: We spent the last week of November back in Essen, Germany at the Moore’s enjoying Christmas markets and good company! It’s hard to believe the European portion of our adventure is coming to an end.

November 23 – 25: After another train journey, we found ourselves in Madrid. We made it just in time to see the Real Madrid football match against Real Sociedad. Real Madrid won 3-1, and we loved the atmosphere!

November 16 – 23: We made our way via train to Valencia! So far we’ve enjoyed wandering around the port/marina and one of the nearby beaches. We also took the metro to another neighbourhood to check out an outdoor music performance – who could resist the combination of Spanish guitar, classical cello, and a crowd pleasing rendition of “Have You Ever Seen the Rain”? 😜

November 9 – 16: We were in Toledo, Spain! To see Chris’s GoPro video of us zip lining click here! CJ didn’t want to go at first, but after watching Maggie and I fly through the air he had to give it a go. I didn’t trust myself to hold the GoPro while zip lining, so Chris had to film us from the bridge.

It was great to hear the “oohs” and “aahs” from Maggie and CJ as we made our way from the Toledo train station to our accommodation inside the old city walls. We’re looking forward to exploring the various sites and have already taken advantage of the football schedule to catch a local football match.
