Bermudians love to travel and seem to find each other around the world. We ran into our first Bermudian in Liverpool, which we thought was a one-off. When we ran into three more in London, we thought maybe we should keep track! So, below is our list of Bermudians we have encountered along our way –
- Dougy and Debbie Brown (24 August 2019) – Liverpool Lime Street Station. We had just gotten off the train from Rainhill to visit the maritime history museum and then head to the Liverpool match. They were in Liverpool to go to the Liverpool v Arsenal match before heading back to London.
- Chelsea Mayeaux and mum (31 August 2019) – Borough Market. We were staying near Tower Bridge, just a short walk to Borough Market. We had just arrived and bought coffees and were deciding where to eat when around the corner walked Chelsea and her mum! We chatted about Chelsea’s search for a flat and the Chelsea FC match they were going to watch that afternoon. As we were chatting, we spotted…
- Jason Titterton (31 August 2019) – Borough Market. JT walking towards us! Jason was in London for work and had flown in that morning to watch Aston Villa play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park and had come to the market for breakfast. We had a wander around the market with Jason before he went back to his hotel for a nap before the match and we picked up some breakfast (scotch eggs, vegan bao, bacon butties) and some fruit and veg for the week. We met up with Jason for dinner at a Vietnamese place in Covent Garden later in the week.
- Nick Pewter (2 September 2019) – Pepys Street, near Leadenhall Market. Monday was a bank holiday so we took the opportunity to have a look around Leadenhall Market (for Harry Potter-related reasons) and show the kids where daddy’s old office was on Gracechurch Street. Wandering back through the alleys by Lloyds, I heard “I recognize that face” – Nick was walking home from some extra hours in his office.
